W tej inscenizacji jest to poznanie „ciekawego człowieka”, który sporo przeżył, widział i wiele można się od niego nauczyć. To przedstawienie „interaktywne”, taki rodzaj spotkania z Edelmanem i rozmowy z nim: spotkanie współczesne. Jest to pewien sposób na zaskoczenie widza, który uczestniczy w opowieści, ale również w emocjach bohaterów. Daje to ogromną przestrzeń do zainteresowania tematem uczestników tego spektaklu – widzów, którzy, siłą rzeczy, takich historii nie przeżyli. Stąd też pewna selekcja tematów. Najważniejsze wydają się wspomnienia Edelmana o powstaniu, o getcie, mniej istotne są zagadnienia medyczne, które w książce niewątpliwie mają znaczenie i dają jakąś przeciwwagę, ale dla współczesnego widza są w dużej mierze albo zbyt naukowe, albo po prostu mniej znane, oczywiste. Medycyna od tamtego czasu ogromnie się rozwinęła, zmieniła, nie robi już takiego wrażenia, jak jeszcze kilkadziesiąt lat temu. Natomiast opisana relacja z powstania, ludzie, ich zmagania, wybory i życie w tamtym czasie wydają się uniwersalne i warte przypominania.
Również opowieści z funkcjonowania „tamtego – socjalistycznego” systemu zdają się być już dzisiaj kompletnie niezrozumiałe dla tych, którzy tego nie przeżyli, a książka pisana jest ewidentnie dla odbiorcy znającego tamte realia. Stąd marginalizacja tych tematów na korzyść relacji z pierwszych dni powstania w getcie i życia w tamtym czasie. Takie potraktowanie sprawy powoduje, że widz nie rozkojarza się przez wielość wątków, a może się skupić na tym najważniejszym. Całości dopełniają multimedia (zdjęcia i filmy ilustrujące wydarzenia tamtych lat) towarzyszące nagranym wspomnieniom i dokumentom historycznym.
Postać Marka Edelmana i jego opowieści są prezentowane bez mitologizowania ówczesnych i współczesnych bohaterów, tak jak on sam starał się to przedstawiać w swoich wywiadach i rozmowach. Nie oceniać innych, gdy się nie przeżyło tego co oni, a jak się przeżyło, to tym bardziej. Życie stawia wyzwania i trzeba się z nimi mierzyć, ale nie zapominać o innych, tych słabszych, potrzebujących, stojących obok. „Kiedy człowiek jest oswojony ze śmiercią, ma duży szacunek do życia, każdego życia.” Życie zaś, jest takie, jakie jest, lecz trzeba zawsze być człowiekiem. A że trafiają się szuje? Zawsze jacyś się trafią.

Spektakl, który zmusza do refleksji.
„Zdążyć przed Panem Bogiem” to poruszający reportaż Hanny Krall, będący zapisem rozmowy z Markiem Edelmanem – jednym z przywódców powstania w getcie warszawskim, aktorzy świetnie oddali obie postaci. Jednak czytajac ma się zupełnie inne odczucia niż oglądając. Widząc Marka Edelmana (Tadeusza Łomnickiego) na żywo, odpowiadającego te historie przez cały czas wydaje się jakby faktycznie tam był, co więcej wciąga cię w te historie. Jest to niesamowite przeżycie, którego choć raz trzeba zaznać. Zapadajcy w pamięć i zmuszając do refleksji nad wartością życia, losem jednostki i etycznymi dylematami w ekstremalnych warunkach. Pomimo tak trudnego tematu i emocji się z nim wiążących polecę ten spektakl każdemu.
